Building Terminal Series

CNI Model BBT is a 25-pair building terminal providing protection for circuits being provided on twisted pair. The BBT uses standard 5-pin protector modules to provide overvoltage protection from harmful transient voltage surges such as lightning and power cross transients. The input cable is wired to the input row of wire-wrap pins. The pins can support two wire-wraps per piece. The output wire is wired to a row of output wire-wrap pins. The input, output and 5-pin protector module locations are easily identifiable. Internal wiring of #26AWG is designed to provide a fuse-link. The unit is compact and wall mounted using two screws.  Using adapter bars, the unit can also be mounted on a 19 or 23 inch relay rack or frame.  The BBT has an easily accessible ground terminal on the front plate that will hold #14AWG to #6AWG ground wire. The BBT series building terminal can be supplied with no modules or with 5-pin protector modules.
