Load Coils

Load Coils

The CNI Load Coil is placed along a telephone line to compensate for the losses in signal over long distances. The load coil induces an electrical current via magnetic fields to compensate for lost signal power.

The SA-2642-6601 load coil has a Loop inductance of 66 mH and is designed to moderate the loss in signals, or attenuation, or minimize it at high voice frequencies in telephone lines. They are recommended for loops larger than 18 Kft and are to be placed in 4.5 Kft intervals to lower the electrical losses at high frequencies.
